At Hayward, starting from the design stage, we create innovative, energy efficient and environmentally sustainable products.

This includes a full lineup of pool equipment – from pumps and cleaners, to heaters and lights, and energy-efficient and natural water care products – to sanitize pools and reduce dependency on chemicals.

Hayward is proud to be an ENERGY STAR 2024 Partner of the Year award winner. The highest level of recognition for corporate energy management programs given by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the recognition builds on Hayward's ongoing research and development initiatives in water conservation, automation and alternative sanitization options which help make pools more environmentally friendly.

From LED lighting products to salt chlorine generators to energy efficient variable speed pumps, many of our products allow customers to reduce usage of energy, chlorine and overall water. All Hayward variable-speed pool pumps outperform ENERGY STAR® requirements by an average of 44%, saving pool owners up to 90% on energy costs annually over single-speed pumps.

PRODUCT SAFETY

Hayward develops pool products with safety foremost in mind. For applicable products, we comply with all relevant pool safety standards including National Sanitation Foundation standards (NSF), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), among others.

Our in-house testing lab participates in the Client Data Acceptance Programs with NSF and UL. This program requires annual on-site audits by safety auditors demonstrating proper procedures, test equipment and data integrity.

We also engage with our customers and servicers by conducting regular training events throughout the year on the installation, maintenance and safe use of our products. During 2021, we held over 2,500 events for our customers and channel partners, involving over 7,500 participants in the United States.
