Since our founding in 1925, we have continuously evolved, always pushing ourselves to do better. Today, we deliver innovative technology, exceptional products and outstanding service that transform the experience of water. Throughout our journey, Hayward has always been committed to being a good steward of the environment and our solutions have allowed us to uphold sustainable practices.

We recognize it is more important than ever to champion sustainability and to act on our sustainability risks and opportunities. This is why we have sharpened our focus on what's most important to Hayward and created a structured sustainability framework represented by four pillars: Products, Planet, People and Principles. These four pillars outline how we operate responsibly for our business and for our stakeholders, all while continuing to innovate and develop products that better the world.

From creating energy-efficient, environmentally sustainable products to advocating for pool safety, I am proud to be part of a global company that is driving meaningful impact and operating in a responsible and ethical manner.

As a leading provider of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products we deliver exceptional products, outstanding service and innovative technology to transform the experience of water.

We believe that a healthy environment is necessary for the well-being of our people and our business and is the foundation for a sustainable and strong economy. Championing our core sustainability values, we are committed to providing innovative and environmentally conscious products, upholding responsible manufacturing practices, fostering a safe and inclusive workplace, and maintaining strong governance and compliance practices.

OUR APPROACH

In 2021, as a newly public company, we conducted our first materiality assessment to identify and understand the sustainability topics that are most significant to our stakeholders, both old and new.

In partnership with a third-party expert, we engaged employees, customers, investors, suppliers and third-party organizations to evaluate and identify 29 key sustainability topics. Based on the feedback received from each stakeholder, we developed a strategy around the key priority topics from our materiality matrix in the framework below.
